"Good app, just slows down sometimes"
I use Lingvist mostly on my phone and overall it’s been solid, the lessons usually load quickly, the layout is simple and not cluttered, and I really like that it picks up right where I left off so I can just open it and do a few minutes without thinking too much.

The only issue is that it can get a little laggy when I’m switching between exercises, and one time it froze right after an update which was annoying, but it wasn’t a huge deal, I still like using it for quick practice when I’m on the bus or have a little time to kill.

"I’ve used this a few times and most..."
I’ve used this a few times and most of the translations came out right for me. My sister tried it too and we both thought it did a solid job overall.

"Really handy for my commute"
I’ve been using this on my commute, and the offline mode is super useful. Who wants to lose access to everything just because the train goes through a dead zone, right? It works well without a connection, though I do wish syncing was a bit faster once I’m back online

"Billing was straightforward, canceling took a second"
I used lingvist for a few months, the billing was exactly what I expected, no surprise charges or anything weird popping up. When I decided to cancel, I did have that little moment of, wait, where is this setting hiding? It took me a minute poking around in the account settings, but once I found it, the cancellation went through fine and I got a confirmation email. So overall, no real complaints, but yeah, it would be better if the cancel option was a bit easier to spot.

"Easy to start with, but a little disappointing"
I’m still new to learning languages, and Lingvist has been easy for me to follow. I like that it doesn’t feel overwhelming, and being able to do short sessions whenever I have a few minutes is really convenient.

That said, I was a bit disappointed by how often the same words come up. I get that repetition is useful as a beginner, but sometimes it feels a little too basic. It’s still simple and low-stress enough that I keep using it, though.

"Really good app, just hoping for more languages"
I’ve been using Lingvist mostly for French and a little Spanish, and it’s been smooth. The app is easy to use, switching between languages is simple, and I like that it helps me keep track of where I’m at without making things feel complicated.
I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because the language selection still feels a bit limited. I’d love to see more options added, especially languages like Japanese or Arabic. Overall though, it’s a solid app and definitely worth trying.

"I’ve been using Lingvist i kind of..."
I’ve been using Lingvist i kind of like how it keeps nudging me along with the progress bar and daily streaks and all that. It feels a little game-like, but not in an annoying way, if that makes sense. I’ll open it thinking I’m just going to do a few words, and then suddenly I’m like, okay, one more round, just to keep the streak going or see the number move up a bit. It’s simple, easy to use, and it makes learning feel less like a chore.

"Helpful when I’m stuck"
Whenever I get stuck, the hints really help me figure out what to do next without feeling confused. The explanations are clear and easy for me to follow.

"I took the placement test and it..."
I took the placement test and it landed me pretty much where I thought I’d be. I liked that it mixed in different types of vocabulary instead of just obvious beginner words, and the reading questions felt especially well matched to my level. A couple of words were a little too easy, but overall it gave me a placement that made sense.

"Easy to jump into every day"
I’ve been using Lingvist for a little while now, and what stood out to me first is how easy it is to actually use day to day. I don’t have to think much about where things are or how to get started, which makes it easier to keep the habit going.
The layout is clean, lessons load quickly, and I’m not stuck clicking through a bunch of menus before I can study. I usually just open it, start a session, and get on with it, which is exactly what I want from a language app.

The progress tracking is straightforward too. It gives me enough to know how I’m doing without feeling overloaded with stats. It also works well on my phone, so overall it’s been a smooth experience with no real complaints from me

"Nice for quick listening practice"
I mostly use lingvist during my breaks, just to squeeze in a bit of listening practice. The audio is clear, and the short little exercises make it easy to replay anything I didn’t catch the first time. It’s not some magic fix, but I do feel like I’m getting quicker at understanding regular sentences now, which is nice.

"Easy to fit into my day"
I just use it whenever I’ve got 10 minutes — no pressure if my day gets busy or I have to skip around a bit.

"Works really well in the browser"
I’ve been using Lingvist mostly on the web, and it’s been smooth for me. Lessons usually load quickly, and I haven’t run into many bugs at all. One small thing I’ve noticed is that after longer study sessions, the page can start to feel a little sluggish, so I’d recommend refreshing the browser if you’re planning to keep going for a while. Other than that, it’s been a solid experience and definitely easy to use day to day.

"Annoyingly Useful for Keeping Vocab Sharp"
I’m already advanced, so I didn’t really expect Lingvist to do much for me, but it actually does help me spot little gaps in my vocabulary. Some of the sentences repeat more than I’d like, which gets a bit tedious, but I have to admit it’s quick, easy, and useful for daily practice.

"Helpful for Picking Up New Words"
I’ve been using it to build my vocab, the words start sticking quicker than I expected. Reading between the lines, it seems like the way it repeats and reinforces things is what really makes the difference

"Heads up: the pronunciation feedback actually makes a difference"
Just a quick warning for anyone thinking of skipping the pronunciation feedback: don’t. I didn’t expect much, but it really helped me notice what I was saying wrong and my speaking got noticeably better.

"Pretty good value if you use it enough"
I’d say it’s worth it overall, especially if you’re using it regularly. The monthly price feels a little on the high side to me, but if you get enough use out of it, it mostly balances out.

"Support replied before I got too annoyed waiting"
I had a small issue with my Lingvist account and couldn’t tell if I messed something up or if it was on their end.

I messaged support and was already getting frustrated because I hate sitting around waiting for replies, but they got back to me the same day, way faster than I expected. It also didn’t feel like some generic copy-paste response, which was a relief.
They understood the problem and had it fixed soon after. Really nice dealing with support that actually sounds human. 5 stars from me.

"I liked knowing the price upfront"
I always feel a bit nervous about hidden fees, so it was really reassuring that the pricing was clear from the start. Everything matched what I expected, and there were no surprise costs at the end

"The progress tracking really helps"
I’ve been enjoying how Lingvist shows my progress after each session. It’s a simple feature, but it helps me feel like I can actually see whether I’m improving instead of just hoping I am. It’s not flashy or anything, and I wouldn’t mind a bit more detail sometimes, but overall it’s really motivating and definitely keeps me coming back.
